Buyer's Guide

How to Choose the Right Modular Pump Track

Buying a pump track is a procurement decision, not just a product decision. The right layout depends on your available space, the riders you expect, and how you plan to maintain it. This guide walks through the three questions that determine almost every choice: what space you have, who will ride, and what level of challenge you want.

1. Match the Layout to Your Space

Start with the footprint. A Micro track like the Pump Cycle 1 (12.5 m) fits a narrow strip of land or a small backyard, while a Deluxe circuit like the Xtreme Turbo (158 m) needs a full park-sized plot. Every layout lists its track length, footprint and module count, so you can compare options against your site dimensions before you ask for a quote.

2. Match the Level to Your Riders

The 18 layouts are grouped into levels so the challenge matches the audience. Micro and Core tracks keep rollers low and jumps forgiving — right for children, schools and family parks. Special and Deluxe tracks add longer lines, higher berms and bigger jumps for teenagers, BMX riders and serious users. If your community mixes ages, a combination track like the Rampage spreads the fun across ability levels.

3. Plan for Growth, Not Just Day One

A modular track grows with you. Because every layout is built from the same module system, you can add sections later to extend the line, rearrange the course, or relocate it to a new site entirely. If your space is planned for future expansion, any of the 18 layouts is a valid starting point — and our custom design service can adapt the layout to your exact dimensions and budget.

For Different Buyers

How Different Buyers Should Choose a Modular Pump Track

The right layout depends on who is buying and what the track needs to deliver. Three buyer types come up most often — here is what each one should prioritize.

Municipalities & Parks

Procurement matters most: compare total lifetime cost, not just the upfront price. Modular plastic needs no permanent foundations and usually no planning permission, so the project fits a budget cycle and a season. The 5-year limited warranty (2.5 years within 500 yards of a saltwater coastline) and 8–10 year lifespan give planners a defensible cost model. Ask for the layout that matches your site footprint — we confirm site requirements before production.

Schools & Camps

Speed to install and safety matter most. Because riders generate speed by pumping rather than pedaling, children as young as bike-learners can join in. The track installs in hours with basic tools and your own staff — no concrete, no specialist contractor. Micro and Core layouts keep rollers low and jumps forgiving, which suits a mixed-age PE program or camp season.

Dealers, Resorts & Venues

Delivery certainty and margin matter most. As the manufacturer, we ship factory-direct: production 7–10 days after deposit, then sea freight 20–25 days to Australia, 45–55 days to the US and 55–60 days to Europe. T/T 50/50 terms, and door-to-door or port pickup both available. Resorts and venues value the portable, expandable system — move it, extend it, or repurpose it as seasons change.

Pump Track Materials Compared: Why Planners Choose Modular Plastic

Dirt, wood, concrete, asphalt and molded plastic all build pump tracks — but the trade-offs are very different for a buyer managing a public or commercial project. The table below summarizes how the main options compare on the factors that matter most to planners, schools and resorts.

As a modular pump track supplier, we are often asked why plastic instead of concrete. The honest answer: concrete wins on permanence but loses on cost, approvals and flexibility. A molded LLDPE track with UV stabilizers and anti-aging additives keeps its geometry through rain, frost and strong sunlight, installs in hours, and can be moved — which is why it is the practical choice for parks, schools, campgrounds and resorts that want riding value without a permanent construction project.

Factory-Direct Procurement

How Buying from the Factory Works

Buying direct from the manufacturer keeps the process simple and the price transparent. From first inquiry to rideable track, the workflow looks like this:

Design

Share your space and budget. We recommend a layout or design a custom one together.

Confirm

Approve the layout and color. Standard blue is free; custom RAL colors available.

Pay

Simple T/T terms: 50% deposit to start production, 50% balance before shipping.

Produce

Production takes 7–10 days after the deposit. Every module is molded to spec.

Deliver

Sea freight: 20–25 days to Australia, 45–55 days to the US, 55–60 days to Europe. Pickup at port or door-to-door.

Two delivery options are available: you arrange your own freight forwarder and collect from the nearest port, or we arrange door-to-door delivery for convenience at a slightly higher cost. After arrival, the track assembles in hours with basic tools — most layouts need only a small crew and no heavy machinery.

Before You Approve

What to Check Before You Approve Production

Approving production means approving a specific build, not a photo. Run through these four checks before you release the deposit so the track that arrives is the track you approved.

1. Layout & color sign-off

Confirm the layout name, track length, footprint and module count against the spec table. Standard blue costs nothing extra; custom RAL colors carry a set-up fee. Check that the modules you approve match your site dimensions — the spec table lists length, area, modules and net weight for every layout.

2. Assembly & site preparation

The system assembles with basic tools and a small crew — no heavy machinery. Confirm your base surface (firm, level grass, gravel or compacted soil) and that site requirements were reviewed with our team before production so the track arrives ready to assemble.

3. Warranty terms

Every layout carries a 5-year limited warranty covering quality issues — excluding normal wear, natural aging and external damage. One important clause: tracks installed within 500 yards (457 m) of a saltwater coastline have a reduced 2.5-year warranty. The warranty is non-transferable and limited to repair or replacement.

4. Shipping & delivery window

Production takes 7–10 days after deposit, then sea freight 20–25 days to Australia, 45–55 days to the US and 55–60 days to Europe. Decide before ordering whether you collect at the nearest port or use door-to-door delivery, and factor the window into your opening date.

Buyer FAQ

Pump Track Purchasing Questions, Answered

Usually not. Modular pump tracks are typically installed without planning permission because they sit on the ground without permanent foundations. Always confirm with your local authority, since regulations vary by country and municipality.

A firm, level base — grass, gravel or compacted soil — is enough. No concrete foundation is required, which is one reason installation is fast and the project stays low-cost.

Yes. The system disassembles and reassembles, so you can relocate the track, add modules to extend the line, or rearrange the course as your community grows.

Every layout carries a 5-year limited warranty — even in rainy regions — with a typical lifespan of 8–10 years depending on usage. LLDPE with UV stabilizers and anti-aging additives keeps the track durable in extreme heat, frost and sunlight.

Payment is T/T with a 50% deposit and 50% balance. Production takes 7–10 days after deposit; sea freight is 20–25 days to Australia, 45–55 days to the US and 55–60 days to Europe, excluding holidays and exceptional circumstances.

Our modular pump tracks are installed by park departments, resorts, skateparks, dealers and homeowners on four continents. A few examples of what different buyers do with the same system:

Resort amenity — Canada

An Elk Valley RV resort added a modular track in 2024 for bikes, skateboards and scooters, giving guests a shared activity hub through its ninth season.

City pop-up — Denver, USA

A dealer packed a portable track into a single truck, assembled it on a downtown plaza in 2 hours and drew 300+ riders over a 3-day pop-up.
